Christmas traditions

Hello again today I'm going to be sharing my family Christmas traditions with you all.

Firstly instead of a chocolate advent calendar we have Christmas books my mum wraps them up before December the first and then every night in-between the 1st and the 24th  we open a new book.

Our next tradition is the Australian Christmas crown. my mum and I gather native Australian plants and put them together to make a beautiful flower crown and then we wear them on Christmas day.

Every morning on Christmas day we head tour local beach its really fun and we normally stay there for about three hours. We go body boarding, make sandcastles, eat and have heaps of fun and laughter.

Right after the beach we come back home and our friends come too. we have a party and eat the best food savoury and sweet. Everyone brigs a plate of food this year my mum and I are making Ferrero Rocher cake YUM!

Thanks for reading. What are your Christmas traditions? Put them in the comments bellow.

Book Review: The Popularity Papers no.4

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!

I've decided to do posts monthly now. And this month it's a book review!!
My book this month is called The Popularity Papers No;4 written by Amy Ignitow. This one is a mix of comedy and definitely true things that would happen on a road trip!

It's mostly about two girls Lydia Goldblatt and Julie Graham-Chang. Best friends go on a road trip with Julie's dads. While Lydia's mum is in London and sister in Guatemala to build houses.

The girls see new places and lots of relatives. They record everything in this book and draw pictures (mostly Julie). This lot over comes obstacles from crazy hair accidents to earthquakes you will laugh so loud at this book!!

You guys should definitely read this book
I give it 7 Indi notes P.S this is a bit short but promising album review next month :)

Guitar Lessons

For a year I've been playing guitar it's really fun and so interesting and here's all about my guitar lessons.

On Saturday we drive to my music school and go upstairs and I always get a warm welcome from the owners of the school.  Then I go in the music room . In guitar class we so learn many things like chords, notes and songs. My guitar teacher is really funny and fun to play guitar with. We talk about things like Julia the sitting position lady, we blame everything on her!

Here are the songs that I've leant in the past year:
times like these - Foo Fighters
stranger things have Happened- Foo Fighters
karma police - Radiohead
riptide - Vance Joy

I love music so much I was excited when I was told to do an assesment on notes in music I thought it was going to be fun but then I thought about the impact it would make on my music level  then I got nevus but when I was shown what I was going to do it was easy.

In the school holidays I went to band camp. What you do is get in a band in your age group and then practise with them for four weeks and then you perform. The songs we performed are; counting stars and smoke on water (our version ) i also got to learn to play drums and sing. It was so fun to learn how to be in a band!!

I think guitar is very fun to play.

Music Review: Foo Fighters - Sonic Highways

Sonic Highways is so good I love it!!!

Something From Nothing is my favourite song  because it pumps you up it is a really awesome song its a really fast , catchy and smashing song. my sister Vedder  she loves singing some lyrics such as.....
here i go, it goes on 'n' on 'n' on.

I also like the show, it's all about the album we watch it sometimes together and some days mum and dad watch it while I'm in bed so i watch it alone. every show is shot in a different city in America and each song was recorded in that different city.

i also like the album's name it's so cool sonic highways it's there 8th album but they still have cool album names and you can really feel sonic highways in the songs. Its grate to listen to on the highways. ha ha.

i really like the singer Dave Grohl. he used be in a band called nirvana but  when they broke up he started his own band and instead of drumming he plays guitar.

In early march  my mum and dad went to see foo fighters they said they were so good and played  Pretender my fav song and they said I could go next time!

i love the font cover its a city with lots of 8s in it!  8 is my faverote number! me and mum found 8 8s which we thought was right but then we found another one which we thought sounded weird, 9 8s on there 8th album, WHAT ???

I found something that really surprised me on the back photo it said, Photo: Ringo and I thought did Ringo Starr take this photo ????? mum said it could be another Ringo but i said there is only one Ringo in this world.

I give this album 10/10 Indi Notes!!!

my sixties style skirt

one day I was well bored  and I asked Mum if I could make a skirt. so I picked the fabric with the birds and trees on it and it  felt so sixties! After that I started to sew . it was so fun! Here is me sewing my skirt.

i started to hem  and i learnt  how to sew in a straight line  then  i threaded the elastic it was a bit hard but Mum helped me.  Mum said that a over locker is too dangerous so she did that for me

now my skirt is done  i love it and its so cool!

Music Review: The Beatles - Please Please Me

is one of my of favourite albums because i really like the songs on it .
My  favourite song is 'do you want to know a secret'  because it is nice for bed as it makes me sleepy.
the slowest song is 'misery'  because misery is sad. the fastest song is   'twist & shout' because in the olden days thay twisted for dancing.
it was made a long time ago in 1963
on the front cover  the beatles are looking down  the stairs in black suits.  they look young.

the Beatles are George Harrison who plays the lead guitar, John Lennon who plays the rhythm guitar and sings. And theres Ringo Starr who plays the drums and Paul McCartney who plays bass guitar and also sings. My favourite beatle is Ringo cause hes the only one who plays the drums. and because hes so cute and chubby.

Paul and John are the ones who started the band. they were friends since high school.

this album makes me feel pumped, ready to go and happy.

i give this album 10/10 Indi Notes.
i hope you like this album.
